Dominic Buckell

B.Arch, ANZIA

Dominic graduated from Auckland University in 1995 and worked for a national practice where he gained a broad range of experience on residential, commercial and tertiary education projects. He became a registered Architect in 1999.

In 2000 he left New Zealand for a 6 month period of travel through the Middle East, India and Nepal, before moving to the UK.

Whilst living in the UK he worked for a central London practice on a variety of commercial projects, including a multistory office building in the historically sensitive Bank district, and as design architect for the retail and apartment components of a mixed-use development of an entire city block adjacent to Kings Cross train/tube station.

Since returning to New Zealand he has been responsible for the design and delivery of the new Karapiro Events Centre, the Verandah Café and a number of residential projects up to the value of 4.0 million dollars.

Working with Chibnall Swann Team Architecture for some years with several award winning building deliveries, Dominic moved into the new direction that became Chibnall Buckell Marovic Team Architects.
