  • Kariaotahi Surf Club
    The proposed new Surf Life Saving Kariaotahi ‘New Clubrooms’ caters to the needs of the club, its members and the community while seamlessly blending with the coastal surroundings. Some key features of the new facility will include a multifunction training room, accommodation (bunk rooms), kitchen, a large open planned dining/lounge with direct access to elevated decking areas overlooking the beach. The strategic positioning of the communication room on the Northwest corner of level 1 allows for a wider unobstructed view of the beach. An IRB garage with ample storage for other rescue equipment, workshop and first aid room make up the ground floor. The buildings’ form boasts a large mono-pitch roof which extends over the large northern deck, creating an eye-catching architectural feature while offering shade and shelter to club members and guests.
