Park Apartments, Hamilton

Located on the Central Business District fringe, adjacent to the Waikato riverside, the Park Apartments are an example of high density housing, with an uncommon intimate connection to an established and adjacent mature park environment. The imposing visual massing of the six multi levelled apartments, is deliberately fragmented with an abundant use of exterior east and west glazed walls, to allow the maximum sunlight penetration for morning and evening. Aesthetically, the apartment composition is a contemporary mix of mono toned white pallete solid facades, mixed with clear glazed wall and terraced sections. Stack bonded blockwork is contrasted with dark coloured weatherboarding to exterior terraced areas.
